EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Marce King, a lifelong resident of Owen County became the Executive Director in February of 2019. Marce had previously been the Executive Director of a local non-for-profit for eleven years. She is also the Owen County Bicentennial president as well as a free-lance photographer, artist, and graphic designer. She has two children. Her daughter is currently working towards her Master’s degree and her son is an EMT for Lifeline. Owen County holds a special place in Marce’s heart and she is thankful for the privilege to serve her Indiana Home!

Owen County UDO
A UDO can help to create vibrant and livable communities that are resilient, inclusive, and sustainable. By providing clear guidelines for development, it can also help to reduce conflicts and uncertainty, promote fairness and transparency, and facilitate economic growth and investment.
Owen County includes a series of public hearings, meetings, and consultations with stakeholders, including local residents, business owners, developers, and community organizations in its UDO process. The goal is to ensure that the county's UDO reflects the unique character and needs of our community, while also complying with state and federal laws.
Comprehensive Plan
The Owen County Commissioners officially adopted the 2022 Owen County Comprehensive Plan on December 5th, 2022.
Owen County is planning carefully to ensure our sweet County captures the type of growth and economic development that will lead our county into the future and provide benefits to all our residents and businesses.
